Experiencing being inside Lake Titicaca
(2nd) Our Visit to Amantini
Ok, now we are on our way to Amantini Island - in the top
photo you can see the
island in the distance from our boat. The next photo shows the dock where
our
boat pulls in and then we see a local person coming in with their own boat.
But
imagine, all the heavy bags you see in the last photo, that the people are used
to
carry such heavy bags up a big hill as the island is quite hilly and the
people's homes
are near the top of the island. Also you will notice the woman have
different
clothes and shawls they wear here then in Puno or the island of the Uros.
The top photo is the main gate of the Island you will
pass through as you begin a long
steady climb up to the main part of the island as you see in the second photo
here.
The following two photos show examples of the type of homes the people have on
the island and you also will see old brick walls everywhere amongst the homes.
The last photo gives you an idea of the area we stopped, that we were able to
also
see a nice view of the Lake which of course surrounds Amantini.
Here we have reached the front door of the house we will
be staying for the evening
and receiving our meals. This is the home of the Toribio Family and in the
next photo
you can see we were warmly welcomed. But also what we are doing, besides
meeting
the members of the family is donating food we purchased in Puno which will be
used
for part of the meals we will be served. In the third photo, Fausto is
sharing with us
some background on the family. In the fourth photo, the daughter is
upstairs
carrying her child in a knapsack which is how the Peruvian women do this.
The last photo one of our group members is being helped with her bags to go to
her room to the top. The rooms here were very primitive without any
electricity
but even though it was cold in the evening, the rooms stayed very warm.
Here we are being served our lunch after we have all placed our bags in our
room,
a delicious fresh meal consisting of tea, a soup, bread and a chicken
dish. After we
finish our lunch, in the 2nd and 3rd photos here, we meet a local Shaman who
does
a cleansing ceremony with our group. Again he uses the cocoa leaves and
makes
for us a "despacho" which he will take with him to burn at an ancient
stone site that
exists on the island which is called Pachatata (which means
center of adoration).
Then in the final photo we have the whole tour group with the owner of
the house,
Senior Toribio sitting next to our local shaman .. you can see our group has
been
affected greatly by the energies of Peru after being here almost 2
weeks.
Only five members of our group decided to follow the
shaman to Pachatata - which is
another good climb up into the hills. So the first two photos here so the
members
who did go to this ancient site. What we heard from our members is that
the Shaman
(the one photo we have from this trek) did burn the "despacho" there and that
the shaman had the key to open the door to the temple here. This was a
real door
that opened into an underground cave where the shaman led everyone in a special
ceremony. Most of the members of our group decided not to go as over the
past
eleven days (as you have read our reports) we did so many things and visited so
many sacred place, they wanted to rest and integrate all the energies they
received.
While part of our group went to the ancient site, we
requested if the family knew another
shaman who could read the Cocoa Leaves. When Joshua visited Amantini in
1989, he
stayed in this very house and had such a reading done for him which was powerful
and profound and discuss activities which did happen to him later in life.
This photo is
from the room where the readings were done and Joshua and Katrina had a session
with the "crystal kids" present. Katrina found the shaman's information
very powerful.
Finally, a scene from Senior Torobio's home as the sun is
rising the next morning.
Joshua and Katrina came out of the house to experience the morning energies.
There is also a story from Joshua when he stayed in this home in 1989.
Upon rising the next morning after have a restless sleep filled with many
dreams he came out to this area and looked into the sky and saw what
appeared like a UFO cloud with a dome. He has a slide of this photo
somewhere .. if he can find it we will share it in the future. Ok,
its now time to return to Puno and prepare to see our last ancient
site in the area, Sillustani and its circular towers ....

The Towers of
Sillustani
Once again as we come
near to Sillustani, we are greeted by a stone door and
stone walls below the hill from where the towers are. As you enter this
ancient
site you will come to a stone circle again which is below the hill from the
stone
structures. The third photo shows the top of hill where exists several of
the
towers or Chullpas as they the tower cover quite an area. In the last
photo,
we are directly below one of the standing towers, to give a better idea of
what they look like and their appearance - but this tower is damaged.
These photos are taken from the location where a group of us came together to
perform
the Crystal Skull World Peace Meditation that was occurring on November 13th.
A group
of people all over the world, most who have their own crystal skulls were
continuing
what was the 12 meditation for world peace in 2009. The idea is since
there is a
theory of the existence of 13 original crystal skulls which are quite old, the
number "13"
is important to the crystal skulls. So an international group of friends
of which Joshua
and Katrina are a part of the coordinators, asked people to do a simple
meditation
on the 13th day of the month, at the 13th hour for 13 minutes. These
photos in this
section show the meditation we did in an area just below the main area of
Sillustani.
Fausto decided to join us for the meditation. Again some of the members of
our
group were a bit tired from the full activities of our tour and stayed in our
bus.
Each person did hold their own crystal skull during the ceremony. Then
some
of these individuals decided to go up hill to see the Chullpas and most of the
photos following come from Renato who went up .....................
This last section of photos are from the top of the hill where the Towers are.
The first photo is as you are entering Sillustani. The next photo is the
tower that
was above us where we did our meditation - you can see it has been damaged over
time. The third photo shows what type of stones were used to make the
Chullpas
as they are not a simple construction by any means. And lastly, on the
other
side of the hill, is a small lake with an island with a completely flat top as
Renato
is showing us. Throughout the Puno area are several of these flat top
hills,
not just here - could they have been used as UFO landing pads. Another
story
that was told to Joshua, when he was in Sillustani with Jorge Luis Delgado,
Jorge
Luis told Joshua that there are legends told that at one time, the Inca Golden
Sun
Disk was stored on this island or was under the water of the Lake. Another
story
we didn't tell which could be linked to the Sun Disk is that the very first Inca
Emporer,
Manco Capac, made his capital for the Empire here in Lake Titicaca, so this
could
be part of the reason why the Sun Disk was here. And finally, this was the
area,
where the Chullpas are situated, that Joshua saw with Jorge Luis the UFO shaped
cloud which appeared to them in the sky twice, in the same shape and size.
So we strongly recommend if you ever go to Lake Titicaca, don't miss
visiting this special area, there is magic here for sure!!
