HUACA PUCLLANA
(The Earthquak People,
a Pre-Inca Civilization)
Inside of Lima itself, are
the ruins of ancient civilization which is believed to have
pre-dated the Incas. The name of Huaca Pucllana, according to Rosario
means
Earthquake People - that this civilization had to deal with Earthquakes and
worshipped the essence of the Mother Earth (or also called in Peru, the "Pacha
Momma", with great respect). As you gave at the photos of these
structures,
and BTW, the ruins themselves were quite large taking up quite a bit of land,
you see this civilizations used adobe type of bricks for their buildings which
is quite difference from the other ruins we will show in our photos, all made
out of stone or volcanic rock. The last photo, shows our group outside of
the park (one of the gates) as to visit inside you must pay a fee. Again
Rosario is explaining to us who these people were and their significance.

ON THE COAST, THE PACIFIC OCEAN
We
finished our first official day in Peru by visiting the coast of Lima, which
lies on
the Pacific Ocean. In this part of Lima known as Mira Flores, are very
nice homes
and where the more affluent people live. You can see an island in the
first photo
off the coast of Lima. We also visited a special park where in the 2nd
photo, is
a statue of the Lovers. Couples come to this park and show their
affections. The
restuarant that we ate at for our main meal of the day (and boy did Joshua
appreciate
the fresh juice you could buy fairly inexpensively which is everywhere) also was
near the coast and in a big modern shopping mall. The last three photos of
our
"crystal kids" which included two new clear quartz skulls that we received plus
two visiting skulls we were charging, was taken in the shopping mall near the
Ocean as our "kids" enjoy to receive the energy of different bodies of water.
We apologize for Joshua who always is a "ham" when photos are taken of him
but with the special energy of Peru, its very easy to let one "child" out!! :-)
